WELCOME FROM THE HEADTEACHER
All staff and Governors would like to welcome you to Mildmay Junior School. We aim to provide our children with the best education we can, ensure a diverse range of learning activities with the opportunity for every child to achieve the best they can in all they do. It is our responsibility to ensure they are provided with a stimulating and exciting environment that provides a rich source of inspiration and opportunity. Children of any age are more likely to be happy and succeed if parents/carers and the school work in unison.
Mildmay Junior School has high standards and expectations in all we do. We take enormous pride in the fact that we always do our best in terms of social, sporting, creative and academic achievements. We believe every member of the Mildmay Junior School Community; pupils, parents, staff, governors and supporting professionals have a vital role to play in ensuring our school is the very best it can be.
We are hoping that the weather stays mild. However, if we have extreme
weather that affects pupils and staff being able to get to school, we will
endeavour to open at 10am so pupils' schooling is not affected. Parents will
be notified of any changes by our texting service.
Holiday Requests During Term Time
Following recent guidance from the Local Authorities, ALL schools have been advised that if leave of absence is requested for five days or more the request is to be put forward to the Education Welfare Service for a fixed penalty notice (fine) to be issued.
Headteachers only have the option not to put the request forward for a fine if the circumstances for the absence are deemed to be truly exceptional.
Due to a software change, blogs have been delayed. We will update you when they are ready. Thank you for your patience.
