VE Day - Amazing work Edie

Edie wanted to share with you her table top display she did with her dad outside our house for VE day. Her great grandad (her Dad's Grandad) was a desert rat and we have some old photos of him from the war. Her Great Nana worked in the cabinet war rooms during the war too so this was to commemorate them both and all the heroes from all over the world.

🌞🍒🌸🐵🌎 I am Earth 🌍🐵🌸🍒🌞
By Darcy
I am Earth. Yes, you know me!
I’m full of beauty and amazing things to see

Butterflies , Fireflies ,Bumble Bees
All those cheeky monkeys swinging in trees

There's more than that yes more to me
I’ve got veggies in the ground and fruit on bushes and trees .

Pumpkins , Potatoes , Raspberries
With juicy Mangos and those Red Cherries.

I have 7 continents and tons of countries
And five fabulous seas
But there's one thing a desperate need
Cause every fruit ,flower, tree and seed
Is dying because in the air
There is pollution EVERYWHERE

Animals that roam under the water
Are strangled and drown lower, lower
Please help me I’m the only Earth you got
Listen to the call and it would really help a lot.
Please help with my desperate need
Let’s get together and who knows we could...succeed !

Tree by Alfie

Like a giant BFG, the tree stood as tall as Jacks beanstalk.

Its trunk was as rough as dried grease from the oven and as bumpy and as hard as rocks.

As high as the sky, as tall as the clouds the branches were as long as witches fingers, grabbing the clouds.

A big tidal wave of wind makes the branches snap like bones breaking and the leaves crack like popping candy.

It smells sandy like a beach and I have the most fun swinging and climbing on it.
