Mildmay Junior School

with a Resource Base for Hearing Impaired Children

“Excelling Through Enjoyment”

Relationships, Health and Sex Education (RHSE)

In 2020-21, the DFE added some statutory changes/improvements to the requirement for schools to engage in age appropriate RHSE for all children at Key Stage 2 and above.

Mildmay Junior School implemented these changes with effect form September 2020 (in line with the original launch date) and well before the compulsory start date of April 2021.

Mildmay Junior School follows the 3D PSHE Programme (from Dimensions Curriculum) supported by additional resources and materials from the PSHE Association to support our delivery of this aspect of the curriculum and ensures that all the statutory expectations for RHSE are met.

Please see below a  Guide for Parents outlining our approach to RHSE and a copy of the current RHSE policy (also available on our school polies page).
