“Excelling Through Enjoyment”

School Council

Our School Council is a group of students who have been elected by their classmates for one year to represent the views of all pupils to improve our school. They go to school council meetings and take part in discussions, take the views of their classmates to the School Council and get involved in projects that the School Council run.

This year they are helping the school to become more healthy.

Our Playground

Our playground is a bit old and there are not many interesting things to do on it. We have been very lucky to secure some money from the Friends Of Mildmay to put some interesting markings on to both of our playgrounds.

The school council have met with their classes and together we have come up with some great ideas to make our play areas more interesting and exciting to use.

We would like mazes, activity trails, chess boards, hop scotch, running tracks, snakes and ladders, stepping stones, planets, the school logo and some boxes to separate the playing areas. We would also like the pitches to be remarked out.

Big Play Equipment

The Friend's of Mildmay have offered to pay for some large play equipment to be placed at the top of the field. Luke, from a local company, came and spoke to the school council to find out what the children would really like. We showed him the site and he answered lots of questions. The children looked through catalogues and Luke found out about the types of activities the children like to do. It was really exciting and we are all looking forward to the work starting, but more importantly to having a go on!!
