SPELLING

Spelling continues to be important to children's learning and all of the year groups have been asked to maintain weekly spelling practice.

There is a list of Key Spellings that most children are expected to be able to spell by the end of Junior School. They are split into a Year 3&4 and a Year 5&6 list.

We suggest that you take 5 spellings each week, or more if you are able to, and practice them until they can be confidently spelt. Using these words in their independent writing is always more difficult, so perhaps they could try and use as many of them as possible in their weekly writing tasks.

We have included some resources to support this learning which you can use if you would find them helpful.
