Virtual Sports Day
Mildmay Junior School Virtual Sports Day/Week 2020
Monday 6th – Friday 10th July
Sports Day is one of the highlights of our School year. At the beginning of year 6, candidates for house captains give their speeches and one of their main goals is the chance to win the cup ribbons for their house in front of all the parents and children.
This year, the setting will be different, but we want to give our year 6 captains the chance to keep their promise of support to you in a VIRTUAL SPORTS DAY AT HOME. They have been working hard with me to set you a collection of tasks and challenges to complete over the next week. For each of the tasks, you can use whatever space is best for you… at home, in the garden, at a park…anywhere you can be active whilst keeping safe and staying alert. In addition to that, it’s also fine to get family members to have a go, and / or to help you out with some of the tasks – just make sure you only send in your scores.
As you complete each challenge, fill in the attached form and email back to your class teacher with your name, class and house in the subject box no later than Friday 10th July.
Our captains, vice captains and sports ambassadors will then help me to collate your efforts and decide this year’s VIRTUAL SPORTS DAY HOUSE CHAMPIONS.
You don’t have to do every challenge, but the more you do, the more points you can collect for your house.
Can you beat your teacher?
Good luck everyone!
Be honest and have fun!
